How to Decorate Your Cookies

Before You Begin:

1. Massage the icing bags – Because our royal icing is all-natural, some separation may occur. Gently massage each sealed bag before cutting to restore its consistency.

2. Prepare your space – Set up your cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a toothpick.

Step-by-Step Decorating Guide:

1. Cut a small hole – Snip a tiny opening at the tip of the icing bag. Test it on parchment paper first to remove any excess liquid and ensure the right flow. If the icing is too thin for your liking, just pour out into a bowl and add 3 Tablespoon powdered sugar.

2. Outline first – Pipe a thin border around your cookie. Let it set for about 15 minutes before filling. For a quicker set, you can put them in the fridge for 10 minutes.

3. Fill it in – Squeeze gently to flood the inside of the outline with icing. Use a toothpick to spread it evenly and pop any air bubbles.

4. If your icing hole is too big, don’t worry! Simply squeeze the icing into another piping bag (if you have one) or a Ziploc bag. Then, cut a smaller hole at the edge and continue decorating.

5. Get creative! – Have fun with it! Add sprinkles while the icing is still wet and make your cookies your own.
